At Tacoma Engineers, we care about our community.

One of our company values is Community.  Since our beginning almost 40 years ago, Tacoma has always looked for opportunities to invest in our local community and give back when we can.  This past June, we had such an opportunity with the annual Tour de Guelph cycle ride in Guelph, Ontario.

We were thrilled to participate this year for the 10th anniversary event.

The tour was put on in order to fundraise in support of The Foundation of Guelph General Hospital.  The collective goal to raise $1 million was a cause we were honoured to contribute to as a corporate team.

When interviewed by Guelph Today, our own Will Teron shared, “Supporting our community adds a valuable sense of meaning and purpose to our work, which benefits our team immensely.  The Hospital has been hit hard these past few years, so for us, it really is about supporting our community’s health.”  Not only that, but Will also shared, “It’s team building — you can’t put a value on it. It’s amazing to see everyone riding together and helping each other. It brings a sense of accomplishment and positivity— all while supporting our community.”  It was truly a priceless experience.

We are pleased to report that our team together raised almost $9000.

Our 17 riders enjoyed a fulfilling afternoon cycle on local trails and streets throughout our beautiful city.  The team encouraged each other on and had a great day.

Thank you!

Thank you to all our clients, colleagues, friends and family for your support! Thank you to Will Teron for mentoring our team, thank you to Andrew Watson and Heather Cameron for organizing all of the details, including the practice rides and making sure we had everything we needed on the day of our tour.  We can’t wait for another opportunity to work together as a team for the good of our community.
