Clothing Drive for The Clothing Closet
Tacoma is pleased to support Guelph via The Clothing Closet
It’s that familiar time of year, where the weather changes and the transition back to school and back to the routines of fall is well underway. This time of year, for some of our Guelph community, can be stressful and daunting, as they are stretched financially and find themselves in need as they prepare for the colder months. This summer and into the beginning of fall, Tacoma has had the pleasure of participating in a clothing drive for The Clothing Closet, a ministry that is active in meeting some of these needs.
The Clothing Closet is a ministry run by New Life Christian Reformed Church.
Members of the community who are in need of clothing can come “shop” in a welcoming thrift-store environment, free of charge. This is available for anyone in the community who needs it – for some it fulfills a need for a short season and for others it is a main source of clothing for years. Due to the challenges of our day, the demand for clothing is increasing and it’s obvious that more people are feeling stretched. The Clothing Closet needs support, as they are the largest distributor of free clothing in Guelph.
Our team at Tacoma didn’t disappoint and generously donated necessary items.
A big thank you to everyone at Tacoma team for your participation. We are proud of the generosity that our team continues to demonstrate when given the opportunity to support our community.
And an even bigger thank you to New Life Church and The Clothing Closet for supporting Guelph in such a vital way!
